Clove Bud Essential Oil is a pale yellow liquid with a sweet, spicy, woody fragrance.

An evergreen tree with a smooth, grey trunk up to 12m high.  It has large, green leaves, and in the rainy season, long buds appear with a rosy corolla at the tip, which slowly turns red. This tree is believed to be native to Indonesia but is now cultivated worldwide.  The main oil-producing countries are Indonesia and Madagascar. The tree has been cultivated for thousands of years, the original wild trees that can be found in the Moluccas produce an essential oil that contains no eugenol at all.
