The word ‘aromatherapy’ is used as an adjective rather than being given the dignity it deserves as an art form in its own right. Shampoo with the word aromatherapy on the bottle usually just means it has a nice fragrance, rather than being clinically active! Plant ‘medicine’ has been around for thousands of years, and essential oils are mentioned in the Bible and other great books.
