A colourless or pale yellow mobile liquid that has a bright lemon aroma and is useful as an insect repellent. Eucalyptus Citriodora is uplifting and invigorating.
It is a tall evergreen tree with a smooth dimpled bark, blotched in grey, cream and pink. The trunk grows fast, straight and to a considerable height and is used for timber. The young leaves are oval, the mature leaves narrow and tapering. Native to Australia and cultivated in Brazil and China. There are several different types such as Globulous, Dives, Smithii, Radiata and Staigeriana varieties.
