Sometimes referred to as ‘super arnica of aromatherapy’, it is often used for couperose skin (thread veins), thrombosis, and the prevention of bruises. Price and Price attribute Helichrysum’s remarkable wound healing and rejuvenating properties to the oils' cicatrisant, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties.

It is recommended and often used in aromatherapy to treat acne, chronic dermatitis, psoriasis, burns and dermal inflammation. Schnaubelt states it can aid in disinfecting wounds with its antiseptic properties and prevent swelling and inflammation.
