Peppermint essential oil is distilled from the mint leaf, this refreshing oil is cooling, and respiratory and could help maintain a balanced digestive system. Peppermint essential oil is also uplifting and invigorating.

This common garden herb is one of many mint varieties.  It grows to around 2 feet high and the essential oil is prolific in the leaf.  Always check the Latin name when buying mint to ensure that the correct oil is purchased. Originally it was a cultivated hybrid between M.viridis and M.aquatica, which was known to be cultivated since before the seventeenth century. The oil is mainly produced in France, England, America, Russia, Bulgaria, Italy, Hungary, Morocco and China.
