A dark blue or a greenish-olive liquid with a fresh, green and a sweet-herbaceous odour.

A perennial herb with a simple stem up to 1 metre high with finely dissected leaves giving a lacy appearance. it bears numerous pink-white flowers with dense flower heads. A very extensive species others include the musk yarrow which produces an Essential Oil contains mainly Cineol which is used in the preparation of “iva liquor”, a medicinal aperitif. It is current in the British Herbal Pharmacopoeia as a specific for thrombotic conditions with hypertension.

Properties

Which is useful for: Acne, burns, cuts, eczema, hair rinse (promotes hair growth), inflammations, rashes, scars, tones the skin, varicose veins, wounds, arteriosclerosis, high blood pressure, rheumatic arthritis, thrombosis, constipation, cramp, flatulence, haemorrhoids, indigestion, amenorrhoea, dysmenorrhoea, cystitis and other infections, colds, fever ‘flu, hypertension, insomnia, stress-related conditions.
