This Essential Oil is a Mobile Pale Yellow Liquid.

It is a small bushy tree with pointed leaves on full branches. The leaves are small, pointed, and aromatic. The flowers are small, white, and 5-petalled. In flower mature specimens are covered in a mass of white blossom, although immature plants can flower less well. Fairly hardy in the UK. Kanuka is indigenous to New Zealand. This Essential Oil helps clear inflammation, relax the skin and useful for muscular pain relief and to relieve swelling, sprains, strains, and sports injuries.


Blends well with Cedarwood, Lemon, Lavender, Myrtle and Sandalwood.

Kanuka was used originally by the Maori people of New Zealand for pain and inflammation relief, skin diseases, and to promote calmness and sleep. Kanuka essential oil is anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory and has a pleasant perfume. Kanuka comes from the Maori language. Maoris and early settlers used Kanuka and its healing properties for fractures, pain, inflammation, skin diseases. It also helped to promote calmness and a restful sleep. Chewing on young shoots or using the seeds in a drink helped cure dysentery and diarrhoea.
