This Essential Oil is an almost colourless oil with a sweet, warm, anise aroma with hints of spice.

It is an annual herb, less than a metre high with delicate, feathery leaves and white flowers.  The essential oil is distilled from the seeds. Native to the Mediterranean it is now cultivated worldwide in Europe, USA, China and India. The Seed essential oil is mainly produced in Europe and Weed Oil in the USA. Indian type is widely cultivated in the east. A commercial oil is produced from the seed which has a different chemical composition and contains Dill-Apiol.
