Pre-requisites: Anatomy and Physiology and an approved body massage qualification
A course designed for therapists to learn comprehensive baby massage and
how to teach it to new mothers, small mother's groups and other interested
groups, such as midwives. The assessment techniques are thorough and the health
and safety issues are explored to ensure that the baby recieves the best possible
treatment. This course is taught in two modules, each of 2 days.
The course costs £160 per module and covers:
- Safety and contra-indications
- Ethics and practice
- Full assessment techniques
- Full baby massage
- Teaching skills to enable mothers to fully understand how to complete the procedure themselves
The course is assessed by:
- 1 hour written examination
- Massage and teaching techniques
- 5 case studies
