This oil is a rich orange colour due to its high vitamin E content. It is usually diluted in a lighter carrier oil, making up 5% - 10% of the massage base. Wheatgerm is useful for mature and wrinkled skin, extra dry skin and eczema as it is regenerative. It is an ideal preservative and will help to keep other carrier oils if a small amount of this oil is added to them. It will keep for up to 3 years if kept in a cool, dry place. As wheatgerm has a prominent smell, the overall aroma of the carrier and essential oil blend will be affected, especially if more than 5% is used in a blend. | | |
